I normally have most of my horrible flares when I'm ovulating, even with the birth control. My period can cause massive pain also but never as bad as when I'm ovulating. Is there any one else who suffers from this too? Also any tips on making it a little bearable? I was just diagnosed this February so I'm still learning to cope. Thank you.
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member Have you tried acupuncture? I do that twice a month...during when I'd normally have a period (I don't because of Implanon) and during ovulation. It's worked miracles. But not everyone responds to acupuncture. Insurance doesn't cover acupuncture but it's cheaper and better than alternatives: ER and destroying stomach, liver and kidney from pain meds. In the meantime, lots of heat, lots of water. I've found soaking in the hot tub helps. The theramcare heat patches work wonders. Good luck. Just know you're not alone.
I have bad ovulation as well. Rx strength pain meds did nothing for the pain just made me loopy and I had to sleep or I'd get sick if I forced myself to stay awake. I have tried yoga and it can help if you have the energy/motivation to actually do it. My heating pad is my best friend. Sorry you're going through this pain, too. {hug}
I have terrible pain during ovulation as well. I use essential oils so I just slather them on & take lots of motrin at that time of the month.
Hi this is an old thread I know but was wondering if anyone had any luck with ovulation pain help. My pain is much worse when I ovulate than my period. I struggle with it for about 4 days it's agony and I feel really sick with it. Just fed up of being incapacitated and ill from ovulation. Thanks x
Yes my pain is worst after my period when I ovulate. Acupuncture has helped but I'm back to severe pain that takes over the last 2 months. I wish I had an answer.
