Night Sweats
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have night sweats constantly and I assume it's from the birth control or the lack of hormones because of the birth control, does anyone know more about this? Does anyone know if changing to a different birth control may help? Or is it caused by the endo itself? I can't see why it would be but saw many others have this problem too. I hate waking up constantly sweaty then cold then sweaty. Sigh.

It is from the birth control, because the birth control lowers your estrogen levels it sometimes will cause menopausal symptoms like night sweats, hot flashs and vaginal dryness. Changing your birth control may help, but be careful about changing the strength. If you are using birth control for pain management it could make the pain come back.

It could be caused by the endo itself or the imbalance of hormones. I switched over to a cooling pillow and it helped some. They even have tempurpedic cooling mattress topper which I'd like to try!

I get them nightly as well. I take a nightly supplement for hot flashes. It works for me. You can get it at any local store in the vitamins isle.
