A lot of Canadians use the center for endometriosis care in atlanta ga and do fundraisers to get to the states for this reason. There is also Dr. Cindy Mosbrucker in Gig Harbor, WA and Dr. Robbins in Scarborough Maine. The down side is you have to pay. The up side is the wait time is around 10 wks. Dr. Sinervo in Atlanta is Canadian! I just saw him last week. He is great.

Since you live in Canada and speaking from someone who is in the U.S. that doesn't sound normal to wait that long for a specialist. Maybe if they are the only one in your area and are a busy practice that is why but usually when I've scheduled with specialist the longest I've had to wait is maybe 2 months?! Also with the ER question again I don't know how things are liberal/conservative wise where you live but where I live in CA the doctors are much more liberal and some, not all are helpful when you go to the ER. I've had to make a few trips myself and some were very nice, they gave me a pain and nausea shot and a prescription for a few painkillers and anti inflammatorys and sent me on my way. I've only had one bad experience with a rude doctor who didn't even know what Endo was and thought I was being over dramatic. So just to get rid of me he gave me a pain shot and discharged me. For you your chances sound good considering you are in legitimate pain, your 10 months out from getting any answers or help, your not on any painkillers so why they wouldn't help would be shocking! If I were you I would go and tell them about the horrible pain your having, you have nothing or no way to get rid of the pain or help it, you can't see the specialist for 10 mths and etc. Hopefully they can get you're current pain under control and maybe help you find a doctor in the meantime who can prescribe you something that can help your pain? Good Luck Girl and I hope this was somewhat helpful!?
