I've been diagnosed with stage 1 endo and had a laporoscopy and they removed lots of endo apparently. I was just wondering if anyone has had any fertility problems before or after a laporoscopy? Is it hard to conceive at this early stage of endo even after its been removed? And will it likely grow back? Just worried about the future.
Sorry to hear about your struggles! I hope things work out for you. Thanks for your advice too, I'll ask my doc next time I see him. They were very vague with me too and a couple of doctors said different things about the amount of endo they removed and the stage I was also.
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member The doctor didn't give me a stage. I think she told my bf mild during surgery, but my nurse said it was a lot of endo. I'm gonna have to ask next time I go in. I know exactly how you feel. I've been going to different OBGYN for about 5years and everyone just says, oh you're young you have time. No. Women do not have time, we have a timeline when it comes to getting pregnant. luckily there are different procedures and optionsbto help us get pregnant with our own baby. Just don't wait until the last minute to start the work out process. Try to find out everything now, so you can be better prepared when you do decide to get pregnant.
Which stage of endo were you? I'm scared that when I want to have children some day that I won't be able to like many women with endo 😕
Endo makes it impossible for some women to get pregnant. Due to my endo, my bf and I were given a 1-3% chance to conceive on our own due to the fact that we've been trying to over 4 years (even after my lap). I am only 26. Before my current bf, I was extremely sexually active with my previous boyfriend and in the course of 4+ years of being together, we never got pregnant.
I got pregnant 2 months after my first laparoscopy, age 26. To be fair, we didn't try before the surgery and only planned to have one child, so we haven't tried again, but my endo is back 5 years later and next week I go in for another surgery. I don't recall what stage I was or if they even told me, but I don't think I had scar tissue at that time. We'll see what they find this time around.
