I adore my OB and trust her but sometimes I wonder if I shouldn't see someone more specialized in treating Endometriosis. How do I find these special doctors and know that they are right for me? I have stage 4 endo and I feel like it's spreading. I'm not sure she's able to treat me if it has gotten worse or spread to other areas.
Join Nancy's Nook on FB and look at the specialist listing.
Thanks, I will. I am, I had to. So much came at me at once and I wasn't getting answers, the only thing I could do was keep asking til I got an answer that at least felt right. I have many more though which is why I'm still looking for more answers. Thanks a lot! Best of luck to you as well.
I agree. I hope you find the right doctor. Keep looking. It sounds like you are taking charge and that's the best you can do!!
I know, there has to be someone in the city. I don't know if I can go there though. I need to find more local and honestly, we have good doctors here too but I can't seem to find a specialist. I plan to talk with my OB about things at my next visit. She's great and I hope she understands I just want a total outlook on my situation.
I haven't found any endo specialist in Iowa but I'm close to Mayo Clinic, Chicago and even St Louis. I'm going to check these places out. I have to believe big cities have specialists. I have a book from a doctor in San Francisco, Dr Andrew Cook and in his book he says he only sees patients with endo and has a clinic. There has to be more! If I had the money I would go to San Francisco.
