Is there anything that in hindsight you wish you knew prior to surgery? Whether about the surgery itself, aftercare, questions you wish you would’ve asked the surgeon, etc.

At what point did you feel like the surgical pain was gone/at a manageable level where it wasn’t all you were thinking about?

i’ve been taking Visanne for like 6-7months already and i told my doctor that i wanted to stop cuz im having vaginal dryness and low libido and its kinda make me depress. I decided to stop after end of this month but like recently i got my libido back. and surprisingly the vaginal dryness isn’t that bad anymore! and i haven’t got my period in like 4 months but now i got a little bit of spotting out of no where. Is it something to worry abt??

I have been taking Visanne for 5 weeks now. My doctor said I would not get periods so I was not worried when my period did not come last month ( I always had regular menstruation).
Today, I had light spotting. I'm worried now. Did you experience this too?

I am currently taking Visanne which has been working pretty well until recently. I am wondering what other treatments have been helpful for others? Does diet actually help with the symptoms and pain?

Hi everyone! I am 25 and have learnt i have endometrioma in my left ovarian (4cm) and high CA125 level, my doctor wants me on Visanne. I have read so many side effects and therefore i couldnt dare taking Visanne.. I am on Yasmin contraceptive pill instead. My mother told me she also had endometriosis when she was few years older than me and even with endometrioma in one ovarian, she could get pregnant and give birth to my sister.. I’m really struggling with my treatment options. So far I’ve tried visanne - stopped my period completely but I had horrible headaches and other side effects. Next was alesse which was horrid and I only took for three months - constant bleeding and pain. Then was marvellon which worked well for three months but then stopped. I’ve been bleeding since March and the pain is horrible. The doctor at the endo clinic has suggested Mirena next and also suggested staying on the pill as well… read more

I continued to have constant pain after having Laproscopy in January. The pain may not be AS bad as before the surgery, but now I have new pain that I didn't have before. My doctor suggested take Lupron Depot since I was still experiencing pain. I took the 3 month dose in August and I'm still having constant pain daily. I'm scheduled to take another 3 month dose in a couple of weeks. Advise, please, ladies; should I take another shot of Lupron even though I'm still in pain??
