So in the time I have been on here, I have read a lot of woman talking about their numerous treatments. The common theme I see is that the pain always comes back. Women who have hysterectomies are even complaining of pain!! So honestly, what is the point? Are we all just hoping against hope for a magical cure? Or that maybe we can have some temporary relief. I have yet to see ONE WOMAN say "I had this treatment and now I feel amazing!" It's more like "Well I had this treatment and I feel a… read more
I keep recommending a book to everyone. It changed my life and its author became my doctor. Excision surgery by a meticulous specialist AND a holistic approach can thoroughly attack this disease from all angles and provide an EXCELLENT success rate. The book is "Stop Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain: What Every Woman and Her Doctor Needs to Know" by Dr. Cook. Trust me, it's a read that took me from being this close -- to completely giving up, and filled me with hope like I've never experienced. I'm three weeks post op and can't wait to feel good for once!!! So yes there is a light at the end of the tunnel! Read the book! Xoxo
One thing for sure that can really help is your diet. cutting out hormones in the meat and dairy. was great.
I went from having 1 period and 1 mini a month to just 1 period
Hi "what's the point " 😀
I honestly believe that each person is different and its down to u as an individual with this disease to find something that works for u
Me, I've been on painkillers since I was diagnosed at 19 and I'm now 40 - not good not good at all BUT I learnt to live with it and carry on
With that said when I was diagnosed there wasn't much treatment available so I went through the menopause and had laser surgery - both of which didn't work for me HOWEVER my sister was diagnosed when she was 24 and she did every treatment going from menopause to laser to injections to coils (against her beliefs) to pain management clinics and acupuncture - she did it all and was still in pain every day - she couldn't work she couldn't do anything with her daughter and then, then in January this year she had a hysterectomy and she has had no pain - not even a twinge - she's off all painkillers and has got a full time job - she's amazing
Again though this worked for her but might not work for others !!
Not many people are specialized in Endo which makes it even more frustrating
I do sincerely hope u find the right treatment and the right way to move forward xxxx
Ur not alone !!
I have seen people who have gotten excision from the CEC in GA say they have remained pain free but thats it. Wondering this rn too. Comes with the territory.
From what I know there's not much to be done, hence why its called a disease. There's no cure or operation to take the pain away. All we can do is continue to try things and hope they get a little bit better
