Will most likely have surgery in July after I graduate and go back to India. Looking for tips on choosing the right surgeon, pre and post op good habits etc and just what to expect.
Please don't go based in ratings in India I went to the top doctor for my first laproscopy surgery for dermoid cyst which she also found endometriosis but didn't bother to inform me about it please… read more
So I’m 5 weeks post op and I’ve been doing okay. However the past few days I’ve been experiencing a lot of pain low down where my womb should be. It’s sharp and achy especially when walking. I’ve also been waking up in a lot of pain.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is it something to be worried about or just part of the recovery process?
It's been 7 weeks for me. Still lots of pain. Hope it gets better soon for us both.
What was your post op recovery like?
My op was a disgnostic laparoscopy with some excision of lesions. My post op recovery went well I feel. My following period was not as painful as I expected it was actually a welcomed relief from the… read more
I had my laporscopic surgery this past Wed and my Surgeon removed an Ovarian Cyst and lasered away some endometriosis....fast forward to my post-op. I just started taking short walks around my condo complex (twice a day... 10 mins at most) which ended up making me bleed more along with having thick blood clot discharge. Has anyone else had that issue after walking and if so what did you do to decrease the blood clots?
Yes, the same happened to me but call your dr.
They keep telling me to wait 6 weeks / 6 months / a year for it to settle down but I can't imagine living with this pain for that long! I'm not sure if it's worth sticking it out or not. And how long to do it for. Has anyone else had anything like this? What were your experiences? Thanks
After IUD and keyhole surgery i had serve cramping and heavy bleeding for roughly 2 weeks. Was completely bed ridden and I was probably showering 3 times a day as I was bleeding through the pads and… read more
I’ve had 2 previous laps, a hernia repair and full hysterectomy (ovaries kept in) within the last 4 years. My first surgeon botched the job and the second only ablated endo on my pelvic side walls. I’ve done PFT 2x a week, Botox shots, nerve injections, etc..since my last surgery 2 years ago but am still in debilitating pain. My PFT is recommending Ken Sinervo in Atlanta. Has anyone with “DIE” used anyone else and had long term success?
Yes he was my primary Surgeon. They will ask you if you have a preference. Most of my contact has been with Dr Chu outside of the week of surgery. And he personally responded to my initial inquiry… read more
I’m having a diagnostic laparoscopy done on Friday. Just wondering if anyone can tell me their experience. Maybe share some pre op and post op tips? I am SUPER anxious about having the surgery that I have barely slept the last few days
Also, when you talk to the anesthesiologist, you can request an anti-nausea patch to go behind your ear that lasts 72hours! Sometimes they don't do this unless you request it
Did you guys have blood in the stool after your lap? I stopped taking anti-inflammatories but i'm still have blood.
I would definitely get it checked out post op. The meds they use during surgery and for pain relief cause constipation so it could be caused by that but you want to make sure there's no damage to your… read more
Yes I did too. I had apple juice and toast only for a good few days. And that would be 1 slice of toast. It was all I could eat. I got my appetite back slowly but eventually. Hope you feel better soon… read more
