Yes, they are supposed to take a biopsy. I just had a lap and got my results. Some of the biopsies showed endo, some showed scar tissue.

I just had laparsocopy done on the 6th and I received diagnosis of endo. I had biopsy taken too but not sure if it depends on the surgeon or on what they find.
I get results of biopsy at my specialist appointment so I'll post on here when I get the results.

My dr takes multiple tissue samples everytime she does surgery. This determines the stage of endo and to make sure everything is benign

U lucky that their no signs of Endometrosis but no i never had both.

Hi, yes they took a biopsy too. I never got the results though :( this was two years ago and I really wish I’d fought harder to chase them up, and the doctor said he couldn’t see any endo but couldn’t be sure I didn’t have it... currently in the process of getting second opinion. If other possible causes have been ruled out think about getting a second opinion and ask about that biopsy! X
