I had my third laparoscopy this past July and have already experienced the same excruciating pain just four months after the procedure... What now? another surgery?
This pain is only on the right pelvic region. It's been discussed taking out the right ovary, is there any chance this could help?
Agree with Judith's response. My second laparoscopy gave me instant relief that only lasted around a week. You can't laser all the disease even if it is noted due to the anatomical structures it's on or near and the potential for damage to those structures. I have used the Nuva Contraceptive Ring to try and hormonally control inoperable or infiltrative disease disease. Not a great treatment but unable to use other drugs due to contraindations.
Yes if lesions were not excised. Microscopic lesions in the peritoneum can hurt too. Hormonal suppression management by a reproductive endocrinologist and endometriosis expert is a big help in managing endo. My last surgery was a laparotomy because the uterosacral ligaments could not be resected by laparoscopic methods.
No my pain has been only in one location which is in my right /back side. I think its been more so on my bowels.
Was the pain only on one side and then moved to the other after the ovary was taken? That's my biggest fear. I'm trying to get into a specialist Feb 20th :/ Hopefully we both get some answers soon!
I seriously don't even know what to do myself anymore. I had 2 laps done then a partial hysterectomy. Which left me with 1 ovary left. I was pain free for the most part for about 7 months. And surprise. My pain is back. I see a specialist on the 4th to see what i should do next
