I know its effects put women in early menopause but my doctor is suggesting it for 6 months. I'm not sure how I feel about having menopause at 21 and would like to know if anyone has anything to say about the effects of this treatment?
I started it in September! I literally bled like full period flow for 22 days straight! I get hot flashes at all times of the day and horrible night sweats to where I'd have to wash the sheets everyday! The mood swings are the worst! I'll burst into tears one min and the next wanna kill somebody!! I have a very short fuse and snap on my family unexpectedly all the time! 😢 I'm always tired.. and if I had the time at work to lay my head down I'd 100% fall asleep which is definitely not like me! My fingers, elbows, and knees ache constantly! And will wake up with sore muscles like I worked out the day before! I get horrible headaches out of nowhere, even wake up in the middle of the night from them as well as nausea with bouts of non stop vomiting! I'm supposed to be scheduled for a hysterectomy in Jan or I have the option to continue the Lupron! I'm glad my 3-4 day stays in the hospital with severe abdominal pain are over but I don't know if these side effects are worth it!
I just started it a week ago. I've been bleeding non-stop and in severe pain, but I'm told that that will go away after this initial surge of hormones. While right now I feel awful, after talking with my doctor I know that this is necessary in my case. I did have a lap surgery a few months ago as well, so they have very detailed information on my endo. I can't wait for the first month to be over though!
not worth it , I had every side effect
i was on Lupron for six months. it helped a lot! definitely worth a try, in my opinion
I am currently on it. It has helped. I do get the achy bones and paranoia but for me it out weighs the pain.
