I was increased to 60mg of Cymbalta every other day a couple weeks ago and I started to bleed, they told me to to back to 30mg until it subsided but I've continued to bleed since (for 2 weeks). It had stopped for a day and then I had a flexible sigmoidoscopy yesterday and instantly started gushing blood from my vagina. It stopped but now anytime I have a bowel movement I gush blood again. Help! Xox
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member you really have it coming from all angles don't you? I have those conditions as well and, while we all experience them differently, I know it's a hard combination to navigate. I hope the gyno can help you resolve this!
That sounds terrifying and beyond frustrating. I'm so sorry to hear you're having to deal with this. I'm not sure if you're taking Cymbalta for depression, endo pain, or another condition and pardon me if this is intrusive, but what does your doctor say about maybe a different medication? I know changing meds can't be taken lightly though. 😐 I hope you get some answers and relief soon 💛
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member I was prescribed the Cymbalta for chronic pain but I do suffer from anxiety and depression so my doctor was hoping it would help my overall well being. My GP is ready to change the medications I'm on but was unsure so he called the gyno and she said to hold off until I see her. I'm just so done with being a guinea pig
Thank you for your kind words. I think I'll be making a doctors appointment if it doesn't stop. My GP is trying to rush me into a gynecologist as mine retired.
