Hello everyone!
I went to my Gynae today and was advised to take Marvelon pills together with what Im already taking which is Visanne. He said i need to take both, non-stop, for a year, coz this will "kill" the endo cells?!? Im doing well with Visanne until now and Im a bit scared honestly to mix both and use at the same time (he said 1 Vissane morning, 1 Marvelon at night) ..
Has anyone been prescribed with Vissane together with an Oral Contraceptive at the same time?? If yes, any feedback? Iā¦ read more
Thanks @A MyEndometriosisTeam Member I did 3 Laps already and the previous one was only last January where they removed my endo cells apparently. Its very frustrating coz after three months it went back again with d same pain so he put me again in vissane. Then I consulted another doctor to get 2nd opinion this doctor told me I should take both oral contraceptives and visane so it wont come back. Until now I didnt start with Marvelon and Im not 100% convinced of his theory killing d endo cells..

I haven't but I can tell you that there isn't a treatment that "kills" the endo cells. The most they can do is suppress them with contraceptives unless you go the surgery route. Personally I'm on 5mg of norethindrone and it's been so good for me. Less pain and no periods.
