A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

My *doctor believes I have endometriosis. I thought I had endometriosis. None of the tests I've undergone show evidence of endometriosis. I know that's common, I'm aware imaging tests don't typically reveal anything unless it's deeply infiltrative, but I'm not sure where to go from here. I'm in between jobs, I'm on my parents insurance, and everyone I've asked has told me not to pursue a lap with someone who isn't an endo specialist. I just went thru this in NYC. Please look up if you can go to dr shirazian gynocolgical surgeon at NYU. She takes affinity (also health exchange, so try her!). She removed a large fibroid attached to my bladder with endo, two cysts in tubes, and endo by excision. She's amazing. I really hope you can see her. She does NOT do ablation - which you don't want - but unfortunately her website isn't updated and doesn't sa @excision. But she does! Hope you can go to her. Don't give up! X

Endo affected every1 differently and drugs u take or go on affects different people.
Have u thought about getting MRI Scan to see where your pain or where your endo is sitting. And seeing some1 thats bit more clued up what going on with u is good idea

Yes unfortunately imaging will not show endo. And your best bet is to get excision lap. My ob/gyne does the surgery and i have never had any issues. She performs surgery using davinci. But yes it is hard to find a good dr that knows what they are doing. Hopefully you can find some form of relief soon
