On my last two periods I had close to zero pain thanks to kratom. Usually have a 7 on a scale of 10 on the first two days of my cycle. I used red vein and the Borneo type. I still think it is too early to tell if it works on a long run, but I am hopeful.
Tried almost everything to manage pain, nothing really worked so far.
Anyways I just wanted share it.

Happy Friday!

I wanted to share my experience in case you or anyone is still looking for info on this.

I’ve recently started taking Kratom powder when I have endo pain. Mine usually starts before my period and comes back again mid-cycle.

I had seen a few shows about Kratom and the documentary A Leaf of Truth, which got me interested in trying it.

So far, it has really helped me. I take about 1 teaspoon of Kratom powder diluted in a little water. It works fast to dull and even eliminate the pain. And it gives me a calm but also uplifting effect, so I can still work and do things I would normally do. This is a big thing for chronic pain! It’s like a very mild opiate without the drowsiness.

From my understanding, Kratom acts a bit like an opiod without the big side effects. It typically does not create that feeling of dependence that can happen with pharmaceuticals. It’s pain relieving without doping you up. But to be on the safe side, I only take it when I need to.

I highly recommend checking out the documentary I mentioned, and doing a bit of research because there are different types of Kratom, in different forms, and it’s banned in a few states. (A shame, since it really works for a lot of people experiencing chronic pain and seems much safer than opioids. In fact, opioid addicts use it to get off pharmaceuticals!)

I got my Kratom in a smoke shop. The brand is Krave Botanicals and the strain is Maeng-Da.

I also recently (2 months ago or so) got on the Mirena IUD in hopes that it will relieve the endo pain and slow down or stop the growth. Im hoping I won’t have to take the Kratom for too long, but in the meantime I’m grateful to have it!

I hope this helps!

I just heard of it as a treatment for endo today. One of my coworker’s sons owns a kava/kratom bar, so I’ve been aware of those for a few months. I was talking to her today and she told me how she just read an article yesterday about a woman who drinks kratom and has had significant improvement in her endo symptoms. I went out today and bought some pre-brewed from her son’s bar. Can’t hurt, right?
Important to note that kratom tea is safe, but kratom pills may not be. Pills often contain ingredients other than tea leaves, some of which can be harmful. My recommendation would be to find a kratom bar near you if possible (they’re very popular right now) to try it out before trying to buy it off the internet. I’ll let you know how it goes for me.
