Spotting On Continuous Bcp

My doctor recently told me to take my bcp continuously. It helps with pain and bloating, but I've had constant spotting ever since. Strange thing is that I never spotted taking the pill the traditional way, with the 7-day placebo break. Does anyone else experience this?

Yes and my doctor said the same thing. He suggest having a period every four months to stop the spotting. I had my period last week and this is my first time being spotless in months.
