I'm 26 years old and if the only way to get rid of this pain is to have a hysterectomy I will I live in Canada and am wondering if they will do this procedure on someone so young.
My doctor said in severe cases they will do a hysterectomy on someone younger. She sais often doctors trt to wait until women are above age 30. It all depends on how your doctor feels about it. If and when I have children. Once I am finished I plan on getting a full hysterectomy!
Just so you know... A hysterectomy will not cure endo. Some women do get one and have no more symptoms. But endo can also grow on your bladder, bowel, lungs, etc. I'm not trying to scare you or be a Debbie downer... I just want you to be fully informed before you make a devising you regret. Watch the documentary "endo what?" It will explain that a hysterectomy is not a cure and why.
Had a hysterectomy...a general surgeon was called in to assist with dissecting all my intestines, bladder and my bowel apart, had to leave the cervix as it was so glued to my bowel that I would need a colostomy.....so everything gone now except the cervix, and the endo....which is definitely on the prowl again....
