A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I am going in for my surgery in a few weeks and I am trying to get everything together. I am not really a dress wearer and that is the only thing that I can find recommended to wear after surgery. Also where I live it is REALLY cold. So I do not really want to wear a dress and freeze all the way home. (I live an hour away from the hospital.) Im curious what others wore. I wore sweat pants after my surgery, but I made sure they were super loose and undid the tie at the front so they could stretch as much as possible over the wounds. I found that pants that came just below the bellybutton were perfect for me because they didn't hit any of my wounds and were comfortable. Also for the car ride, holding a pillow over your stomach helps to take some of the impact from the car ride. Hope that helps <3

Honestly I highly recommend you don't take leggings you won't be able to wear them the only thing I can think of in a cold place to be comfortable are pj pants that are a size too big so there just sitting on your waist and a jumper you will be a bit uncomfortable after surgery but it's so much better after recovery.

Yoga pants or pajama pants. U want something without zippers or buttons. Something that you can place on lower abdomen or hang on your hips. Your stomacg will be swollen and sore
