Anyone Use Tramadol?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Just wonder if anyone else uses tramadol? And if they feel poorly when stopping taking the medicine. If yes any tips and how to feel any better. I really struggle at the end of my period with nausea and sickness. And shivering and skin hurting.

Any suggestions or anyone know what I'm saying? X

Oh it's capsule form and not tablet... You can't do it if it's in capsule. Maybe ask your doctor or the pharmacy if you can get it in tablet form next time so on the days you don't need a full dose, you can break it in half. I wouldn't tell them you experience withdrawal symptoms bc they might cut you off. Idk how strict they are about that in the UK but here in the US we are having a war on opioids so you gotta be really careful what you say and do.

I was on tramadol for a long time. It worked with the pain for a while but I started to become immune to it and I was taking it for the sake of it. It can be highly addictive so my advice would be to be aware of how much you take and make sure you only take it when you really need it. I'm on morphine for pain now, have been for a few months. For me it's working so much better, only taking it when I actually really need it and I feel it starts to work quicker as well. I hope you can find the right pain relief for you! Everybody is different and our bodies react differently to different drugs. Xxx

I haven't tried it, but they have come out with a replacement for codine, I forgot what it was called, my surgeon and in were talking about it when I was in the anaesthesia room, I am going to get my sister to take me to see my doctor about it tomorrow, will let you know! *hugz* hope you find something that works, we are here for you!

I’ve used it and honestly, two extra strength Tylenol work better than it. Try a heating pad and ask for a hydroxyzine Rx for the nausea (it’s a Benadryl derivative)
