Adhessions And Confusion And Fear!
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have recently had my 3rd lap and this time they found my left ovary is adhered to the abdominal wall and the bowel is also adhered to the point where my pouch of douglas has been obliterated. I am terrified of what the future holds as my consultant has said if they go and try and separate it all I could end up with a colostomy bag and at 35, divorced and alone I am so scared. Has anyone had any experience with this situation positive or negative please can you help me

Why do they need to separate it? What stage do they think you are?

I have stage 4 endo and my drs said my insides looked like they’re stuck together with glue so they won’t, rather can’t operate on me. My adhesions are all over my bowels too I’m very lucky I haven’t the pain some do. If it’s not negatively affecting you I’d just leave it.

There's an awesome specialist on Facebook I found that post surgeries on this type of thing. He is in New York but the videos answered a lot and he takes emails or PM on Facebook.

Did they give you any options. I have a similar case but my endo is behind the bowel & bladder. That surgery was 40 yrs ago & it has never been removed. I am on hormone therapy to control the pain. I have been having bad problems lately & am going to the Mayo Clinic to see if I can get diagnosed & to see what my options are. Look on Nancy Nooks for a specialist. You need an expert on that. Best of luck to you. A second opinion is always good. Hugs tigreyes
