Stomach Issues
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone have a really bad stomachache during the week of their period? I always get them really bad in the morning. Wondering if this is endo related or stress/anxiety related.

Yes stomach issues can most definitely be endo related, you can also have endo of the bowels! I had to have a bowel resection in December due to endo growing into and around my large intestine, but I’ve had issues with my stomach all my life. A lot of women are misdiagnosed with IBS and it turns out to be endo! Just be weary of changes to your BMs and an increase in pain! That’s the only way I knew I had bowel endo... you know your body and you know when something isn’t right!

I experienced bad stomachache during my period. Frequent visit to the toilet at night and I felt like sleeping there. During my laparotomy surgery to remove ovarian cyst, doc found out chocolate cyst sticking on my colon, bladder and left ovary. That explains the pain that I experienced.
