Always wait for a specialist. No point having surgery with someone who doesn't know what they are doing.
Most of us have to wait as we are waiting on the NHS so we don't have a choice.
Last year I was so bad I paid to go private. And was seen and had my op within 2 months. But sadly a year later and I am worse than before. There is no quick cure. We wait for ops and appointments because most of the time they don't do much anyway.
Hope this helps a lil :)

I am waiting bc they want other tests done before Mayo will even do the surgery. He wants to know what he is getting in to. lol I've been dealing with this since April. Best of luck to you.

I would wait. I had a poor surgery the first time and it was a waste of time.
