Mirena Coil...
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone had the mirena coil inserted for treatment of endo? I got mine put in when i was having my laparoscopy and i havent stopped bleeding... thats been 2 months non stop? I know it can take 6 months to calm down but has anyone else had the bleeding and constant stomach cramps?
Thanks

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member omg mine was so rude to me too! I actually had to change gynae. Because she was soooo rude to me. She made me so uncomfortable. It makes
Me so mad that they can treat people the way they do. We go to them for help not to judge us. They definitely make money off of the drugs for sure. That’s what disgusts me. Our side effects, and feeling horrible makes them money. How are you feeling now ?!

Hannahpage..same with my dr. My dr was so mean to me because I wanted mine removed. I sent to him and he got evil and mad and dismissed my symptoms and made me out to be a psycho. I hate doctors they only want to hurt! Why do they try to BS us? Why do they want to cause more harm than good to us? I dont get it. Oh I forgot its because they make more money selling this crap to us. Smh.

Lianne... Im ok but in a way, i feel traumatized. I dont know why drs are pushing this on us to get one. They are so uncomfortable and cause more pain. Maybe for someone who doesnt have endo but it doesnt seem like a good fit for ppl with endo.

And doctors try to act like they know our body better than we do. Its ridiculous.

I had one placed and for 8 months I was bleeding everyday! Then once I stopped bleeding daily, my periods were still for 2 weeks and a lot of pain! I couldn’t work for two months because of the intense pain. I hope it gets better for you soon! I remember I constantly was going to my gynae and they kept telling me I needed to give it a chance. I ended up getting it removed after a year. I hope you feel better soon💛

I had to have mine out after two weeks. It felt like someone was constantly ripping my uterus apart inside constant grinding feeling in my uterus sharp piercing pain that made me scream and jump. Plus I felt like my period was HEAVY saturated the pads at times and I couldn’t stop bleeding. I hated it. The cramping was non stop. I got mood swings and pounding migraine headaches from it. Kudos to you for going two months with it. I couldn’t bare it.

You could wait to see if it clears up.

I’m sensitive to hormones so I had a bad reaction to mine.
