Birthcontrol
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello endo sisters, I have a quick question I’ve been on birth control since the beginning of the year when I was diagnosed with endo. But I’m wanting to conceive I have an appt with my doctor but not until the end of the month and I stopped my birth control with out telling her. Has anyone done this?

That's absolutely fine. It's your decision and your body. Just be aware it can take a while coming off BC to get pregnant. So be patient and just let your doctor know when you can 😊 💛🎗️

Um well i should say i already have two kids ( ages 3 &4) had them at 20 & 21 but we want one more. Ive held off on getting pregnant for the last few months til i found out what my health problems were. Now that i know figured now is best for us anyways. Got off the pill in August but started trying this month. Its normally not hard for me to get pregnant so looking forward to seeing what happens.

Yes I hope it doesn’t take that long that’s my fear but I got to relax and breathe and not stress cause stress is evil makes everything worse

If you are ready I would stop the BC now, it can take a year for the effects to go. So if you are worried about time then I would stop now.
The problem with wanting to have a baby is that you will risk having the endo symptoms. But hopefully it wont be long until you are pregnant and the symptoms will stop until the baby comes :D Just tell your doctor, she can't stop you. :) x x

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member yes that crazy at 18 it’s like wait I haven’t even done things I wanted to do before having a baby. For me I’ve been with my bf for 6 years and I’ve always been on some kind of BC first I was on Mirena for 6 years and then got off of it cause I was having weird symptoms (I’m pretty sure it was the endo) but I didn’t know back when I first was on the Mirena. Until this year, I’m 28 and my bf is 35 and I feel like that time is ticking away and time is so precious when you have endo cause I feel you need to start soon to have a baby because you don’t know what is in furtive for you. It’s just scary cause it’s like I want a baby but I kinda feel rush, but not at the same time. It’s confusing
