Doctor Says Endo Can't Come Back After Excision
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I went for my one year post op appointment today and met up with my gynaecologist- he says that I shouldn't still be having endo symptoms as he removed it and it cannot come back like that (although I've read many stories where it has)
Instead he said he recommends not getting any more excision surgeries for endometriosis until I have a family- he also said that he advises I start thinking about having a family as it could become an issue the later I leave it (if the endo is back)
What do I… read more

Endo definitely can come back after excision. Most of the ladies on here can tell you. I had full excision August last year. And last month i had it again. Absolutely covered both times.

Endo cannot grow from nothing . But if the surgeon even leaves on tiny microscopic bit, it can come back. x 💛🎗️

I think my nerves are fried too and my dr said they’re sending the wrong messages it just SUCKS I feel pretty stiff down there. My case was mild and I love article because it states that mild cases can have higher reoccurrence than more severe cases. It sucks.

Mattie.. omg you basically told my entire endo story. Not only did they find mine in visible spots but it was found in biopsy so basically mine is deep and cannot be removed plus I’ve been in pain for so long that it’s chronic. So yes you told my entire story. I’m so glad you understand this because some of my endo was not visible.

Have your family. The longer you wait the more difficult it will be. I had one child and now I am not able to get pregnant and my chances of getting pregnant and my eggs have been negatively affected by the endo. So plan to have your family soon.

Thanks everyone, he did mention about the nerve endings maybe being fried which may cause my pain- I'm on the waiting list for the pain clinic but it's over a year long..but at least now I know I'm not going crazy😁 Ah the life of an endo sufferer
