Alcohol Temporary Pain Relief

Recently I ran out of pain meds for a few days. I decided to have some whiskey and as soon as I drank it, my pain was gone. Like almost 30 minutes after 2 shots. I was able to refill my prescription but every once in a while if I decide I don't want to take my pain meds I take a couple shots and for some odd reason it helps with the pain so much and I don't over do it so spare the "You don't want to turn into an alcoholic" bit. Same. Alcohol really helps, so I always keep a bottle of whiskey "just in case" :)

Thanks ladies! Good to know I'm not the only one, I felt pretty weird about this and I know it's not long term but, the short term relief in times of need help a ton!!
