Has Anyone Tried Orilissa?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello,

I have suffered from debilitating pain with my ovulation and periods for 15 years. I was diagnosed with endometriosis in my ovaries. Has anyone here tried Orilissa for pain? It’s very new and I haven’t been able to find any patient reviews online. If this medication works without crazy side effects it would change my life. I’m excited about it but don’t want to get my hopes up. Please let me know if you take it/have taken it, know someone who has or even if you have any advice on pain… read more

Side effects for me didn't start until the second month. However, to control them like Lupron side effects, my Dr. Added on Norethindrone to take with it. It took away level 10 Endo pain and I was able to function again. Their isn't much info out their from others taking it, so be sure to post how things go. As for the bone density loss, we are keeping an eye on it. Side effects for me are headaches, insomnia and some hot flashes. But Endo pain is gone!

Hey! I’ve been taking Orilissa, I’m on my final month of it. It has helped wonders. It was important to make sure to take it with good to help prevent nausea. And I did get mild headaches for the first little bit on it. I hope it helps you if you decide to give it a shot!

I’ve never heard of it, but if it works let us know. I find that I have to stay on top of my pain, if I get to busy and forget pain meds or try to ween, before my flare is over it sets me back and it takes longer to get my pain under control and I find I have to double up. And in the end have to take more, drugs are so aweful to have to take. Especially antiinflammatories,

AlisonP! So sorry, I’m bad about getting on here. I would say within the first week or two, I was feeling better. Did insurance approve?? If they didn’t, my doctors office provided me with a coupon code, you can also find it on their website

Early morning, thank you! I’ve never heard of norethindrone I’ll be asking my doctor about that and if it might be a good choice for me to also add on. I’m not worried about the hot flashes or any of the other physical side effects as much as the mental. I’m mainly nervous about the depression. They’re starting me on the low dose so hopefully I’ll ease into it a bit and it won’t be an issue. I’ve been putting off starting but I have Saturday off and I’m going for it. I’ll be sure to post how it works for me, thanks again!
