Stomach Problems
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone taken the medicine Sucralfate 1 mg actually carafate?

It is used to treat ulcers & gerd & acid reflex disease. My dr. prescribed it for me today & I'm always afraid to start a new pill.

I’ve taken it. You’re not suppose to take it long term. It helps to heal current ulcers but you have to take it according to the instructions for it to work. It’s frustrating depending on how often you take it. If your doctor prescribed that for long term use, I’d take to him/her about something else. Hope you get to feeling better!

Gee I'm sorry to hear you have been through all of that. Today I feel a little tiny bit better but drinking liquids is the killer .I had cervical cancer in 1978 but I never had chemo. Hope all goes well for you.

Yes I get nervous bc you don't know how it will effect you. I take other meds too so it is a hassle bc of the way you take it. Water is killing me or anything liquid . Even taking the pill as it goes down burns. I won't be taking it long term bc it is too much hassle. I don't know when I'm going to eat & your suppose to take it 1 hr before meals on an empty stomach. I will try anything at this point but I'm not eating or drinking much .I have all these dr..appointments this week & I hope I make it there. Thank you girls for all your help.
