Has Anyone Had Deep Bowel Endometriosis? Or Had To Wait Several Months For Their Surgery To Occur?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello fellow Endo ladies! It's been a rough couple of days for me. I had 3 lap surgeries in 2018 alone and now I'm about to schedule my fourth. I've been having constant nausea, been throwing up, having terrible abdominal pain, constipation, extreme fatigue, sweating and being hot all of the time, urinary hesitancy, panic attacks, and pain/blood with bowel movements. After finally getting an appointment with a specialist and waiting about 2 months to get a transvaginal rectal ultrasound, they… read more

My problems are similar to yours but I'm so bad off the Surgeon said no more surgery bc they would have to remove a segment of the large bowel & he still thinks it wouldn't help.
Did you have the rectal ultrasound & if you did do they put you to sleep or are you awake? I think I might need that bc I have pain & terrible constipation in the rectum. In 1984 I was told I had endo behind the bowel & bladder 7 it was never removed bc of the risks. I also have blood in the urine. My legs & feet are killing me & nothing helps. I went to the ER & they gave me morphine & dilaudiud & it still didn't help the pain. My GI dr. thinks I have infection of the pancreas. My Primary Care dr. left his practice so tomorrow I have to see a PA & show my reports from the ER.
I'm sorry to hear about your problems. I hope things get better for you.
Hugs

Yes, I am so sorry to hear about your pain. I had to wait about six months to get in for surgery because their are just so few surgeons who specialize in this. The only thing that helped the pain was using a TENS unit. It was effective pain relief with no side effects and helped me make it through to surgery when nothing else was working. Hope that you are doing better now and that surgery will really help you. Hugs!

I'm so sorry about your surgery. That sounds so painful! Its good to know what to expect though. My last surgery was about 3 1/2 hours long and I woke up in the most excruitating pain! They removed my ovary and Endo everywhere.

Thanks for your response! I haven't tried Nancy's Nooks but I definitely will now!

Thank you for your response! Yes my surgeon is an excision specialist. They've given me oxycodone but it doesn't help all of the time. I think an anti inflammatory diet is a great idea! Was it difficult to do? Ive tried gabbapentin and had an allergic reaction. I've also tried pelvic floor pt. I'm actually starting that back up tomorrow. I have tried acupuncture but it didn't help. In the meantime, I will start looking into anti inflammatory diets!
