Brown Blood
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I have noticed that I have brown blood, then my cycle, then brown blood again. The only time I don't have it is while I am ovulating. Has anyone had or heard of this?

Yeah, I have the same problem. Only I feel like it happens every day I choose to wear white underwear or something sexy for my husband.. it ruins all of my cute things! So frustrating. I'm on the Depo-provera shot now to "try" to manage pain. Even though the red blood periods don't happen because the Depo prevents them, I still have the random brown blood that sometimes comes one day and is gone the next, and other times it lasts for multiple days straight. Though it is never predictable like a normal proud cycle. I don't know how I could be having "old" oxidized blood when there is no period to begin with. I haven't had a real period in almost 2 years besides a rare small one if I wait too long to take my next shot at the end of 3 months. I can only assume this is caused by Endo somehow.

I have the same, but happens basically all month round. I was also told the same by my doctor - that it is just old blood that is taking its time to leave my body. It often appears after sex or after something has disturbed that whole area for me. My doc didn't seem too concerned so I haven't worried too much about it!

I did have the same and was very worried. Doctor just told me it's old blood that's oxidized ciming out late. Still, I am not convinced as i have worries it could ne something more.

I experience the same thing. I don’t remember having it more than 2 years ago. But its almost constant now. Regular bright red blood during my period, and old brownish blood almost every other day. It’s just old oxidized blood that decides to hang around. Annoying as heck though, and not the most fun thing for my husband when we are able to have sex.
