Hi Ladies,

I am so happy I found this community. I have read so many of your posts and I wish none of you/us had to go through this, but thank you so much for sharing, it really helps!

After over a year of going between doctors, I have been diagnosed with endometriosis (as definitively diagnosed as one can be without laparoscopic surgery). Here is my timeline
-For the last 4-5 years, my periods have been increasingly cramp-y and painful, after many years of previously pain-free periods

He seems to be highly recommended. I recovered really well and they did a major clean up. He also has a book that focuses on endo and treating it as well as having the proper diet. Good luck to ur niece.

Oh my goodness, my niece is going to see Dr Seckin in a couple of weeks! We are traveling from Michigan. I have high hopes, he is the best. She has been suffering terribly. I'm so glad to hear you are feeling better! Wish you all the best in your recovery.

I went to DR. Tamer Seckin in New York. It's one week after and I feel great and my incisions are super small. Healing well.

My doctor told me that birth control makes endometriosis spread. It does not help. I don’t know if what i did was the answer because it was only three weeks ago, but i had a total , open hysterectomy. One ovary was destroyed by endo and the right one was saved to keep me from going through menopause.

Same exact situation, I hate birth control for all of those reasons. I too have a ruptured cyst on my right side that landed me in the ER and now my left one is bothering me.
The only option my physician is giving me is a hysterectomy/Oophorectomy on the right side and clean up the endo. Although I am not a big fan of surgery, the pain is not tolerable and is debilitating at times. It's not normal to live like this so I am open to doing anything that will help and pray it works!
