I try to keep up on the latest endo treatments and I have been following this drug development since 2016. I hear it is basically a pill version of Lupron but I am not sure if that is 100% true. Do you guys know if it is basically Lupron and/or have you tried it?
It does work. It does have side effects similar to Lupron. But definitely try because side effects may be different for you. It is a pill so you can stop it at any time unlike Lupron. Also company has payment assistance w cost if insurance doesn't cover it.
I asked my dr about it, too. He offered to prescribe it for me but that since it’s so new, most insurance companies aren’t covering it and it’s expensive. As far as effectiveness, he said that it showed improvement in 30% of cases but placebo improvement was 28%.
That’s all great to hear! My dr seemed so negative about it but he is really pushing a hysterectomy now, so that may be why.
My doctor offered it to me and I declined because of the side affects.
