Hello
I am very new here. Just went to my Dr on Thursday due to recent heavy painful periods, clotting and ovary cramping all the time. Ultrasound was fine so she mentioned it could be a factor of Endo. I also have struggled with chronic constipation for 3 years. I've had all the GI tests and RX and diets and nothing ever clears it up and I've never been able to find what triggers it
Have any of you had constipation with Endo nearly every day?
Have you had any treatment that helps with it⦠read more
I went to the doctor last year complaining of IBS symptoms and was told to drink more water. While her advice didn't help me get a diagnosis, it did help my pain. Much later I discovered that my chronic constipation was actually causing my Endo pain because of where my cysts are. So, my advice would be to act like you have IBS even if you don't. Drink lots of water (like, crazy amounts), reduce irritants from your diet (red meat, dairy, alcohol, caffeine), and invest in some good probiotics / vitamins.
Don't panic just yet. Everyone's Endo is different and your chances of having children certainly aren't gone. Explore your options and take your time making decisions that you feel good about. Much love.
It can definitely be caused by endo. I take a vegetable probiotic, and also am beginning to add a digestive enzyme to hopefully help even more. I take 25 billion womens health, and adding garden of life enzymes. I am starting the enzymes today, so i can't speak for them, but the probiotics help. I don't have a gallbladder however, so it makes these symptoms much worse when they occur. So maybe start with one or the other, one may work for you. Hope this helps :)
Thanks so much! I appreciate it and will check this out.
Hi Alicia,
Thanks for your message. That's good to know. I do eat a pretty low-fod map diet, drink, tons of water, exercise. No dairy, etc.
I have been on Linzess which is IBSC prescription and still had problems. Had a colonoscopy and even went to a therapist for the bowels and nothing helped or was diagnosed. I will definitely keep up the regiment though.
Really appreciate the info.
Have any of you had the laproscopy?
Did the symptons eventually get better?
Was recovery rough?
