A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Okay, I have a constant vicious cycle of UTIs and yeast infections or sometimes just one or the other. The problem...I have tried everything under the Sun to stop these infections from occurring and I mean everything. This has been going on for about 2 years like this non-stop.

I exercise a lot...maybe I need to take a shower IMMEDIATELY after exercising (sometimes I can be in the gym for 2-3 hours..I know I am crazy lol), so maybe waiting that extra 15 min of driving home causes it???? Idk… read more

I know you posted this awhile back but I had 6 UTI’s within 7 months back several years ago. Assuming yours are being confirmed and treated with medication, rather than possibly being IC as some suggested here, you might have luck with taking a low dose antibiotic pill after intercourse. I started that with my GYN 5 years ago and not a single infection since.

Hi, I was diagnosed with endo 5 years ago and have always struggled with UTI's. Within the past year I have had those progress and had pyelonephritis (kidney infections) 3 times. For the last five months I have had a yeast infection. I have tried everything under the sun it seems and nothing is getting rid of this thing. I do work out a lot and my ob also recommended boric acid suppositories as well which has helped lessen those YI symptoms but its still pretty bad. Any answers to these chronic YI's?

Hi, I would also frequently get UTI’s and yeast infections. At the time I was using Always brand tampons and pads. I did some research and found the harmful material they use in their products and its effects and immediately stopped use. I found this organic brand named L. at Target and have only been using their pads (seldom use of tampons) and I havent had a UTI or YI in over a year. I hope it gets better for you!

Have you looked into Interstitial Cystitis? 70% of women with endo also have IC and its could very well be the culprit. Pelvic Floor Physical therapy can help along with supplements such as Aloe, Marshmallow Root and D-Mannose or medications such as Elmiron.
