Running Out Of Options. 3rd Surgery Or Lupron?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I basicaly feel like i have tired everything other than lupron (which im pretty against) for my endo pain. 15 plus years of endo pain, doctors trying different things and wanting to retry things that never worked. 2 excisions, 2 tubes (full of cysts) removed, various procedures and IUDs. Now what? I found a specialist and kinda want to give excision a REAL try with a expecialist. Anyway, im babbling. Thoughts?

I'd say give excision with a true specialist a try. If the previous surgeries weren't with true specialists, they may not have even really been excision. For example, see the response email from the surgeon in this blog post compared to what the author found out: https://endogirlblog.com/surgeonquestions/

Best of luck-- this all just really sucks!

Stacey, i do also have interstitial cystitis. And i have a consult with a nook dr tomorrow. Im very excited!

Shannon, im beginning to see that. I pulled my medical records from past surgeries and am shocked at how little it seems was done.

I am against Lupron shots but I tried the Orilissa which is similar but by mouth pills. It helped a little but I cant take it but for 6 months. Then I'll be back to birth control only. I'm stressed out cuz the daiky pain on only BC was the reason I had surgery. Now I have an umbilical hernia that I was told wasn't there after surgery so Idk about another one. Do what you choose and pray for guidance!
