My laroscopy was friday and I haven't had a bowel movement yet. I have been eating plenty since surgery. Had half a pizza yesterday and mac and cheese the day of surgery on top of soup. Yesterday i noticed some pain during eating that I think may be related but aside from that I feel fine. Should I be concerned?
Try staying away from heavy meals and dairy as it contributes to constipation and more gas. After my surgery, I had little interest in eating but I noticed eating soup, mash potatoes, jello we're better to digest. I hope you feel better. I also suffered constipation and still do. Try to ask the Dr for a pill to help with constipation as well as keep taking maralax.
Today I feel really out of it after starting a new med for my fibromyalgia. I would like to add to my story but thats not going to be an opiton today.

I've been taking pain pills as sparingly as possible and have been using maralax as told by my dr, I'll consult with him tomorrow and try not to take anymore pain meds
If you're taking a prescription pain pill, that's more than likely contributing to your problem. An OTC stool softener is what I've used in the past after laparoscopic procedures.
Dairy and refined grains can contribute to constipation. If you dont have a bowel movement by Monday call your doc and consult with them.
