How Soon Is Too Soon For Endo To Return?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi everyone! So I recently visited my gyno because of excruciating lower back/ pelvic pain, and he says it seems it’s too soon for my endo to return after I’ve had a laparoscopy in November 2017, and after I was on the lupron depot shot about a year ago. It definitely feels like my endo has returned, but he’s skeptical and hesitantly agreed to put me back on the shot. It doesn’t help that my boyfriend and family are skeptical as well, but the pain is incredibly bad again, and I’ve been having… read more

It can come back very soon after the laparoscopy. I've had one operation a year for the last 4 years and each time the endo had to be burnt away.
Trust your body and how youre feeling . I always go into my drs and tell them that the endo has returned. I always know and you probably do to .
Hope this helps, try not to let it get you down

Time for a second opinion honestly. Just because they *think* they got all of your endo during your surgery doesn't make it so. They may have gotten all they could SEE at the time, but I recently read of deeply infiltrating endo that is basically invisible until it gets to a later stage. Your pain is valid and should be treated as such, I'd find another doctor.

I’m sorry you are dealing with that. Mine came back within 5 years and I had a complex cyst Had a second lap then. My Dr told me they aren’t able to remove all of it during a surgery.
