Poor thing. Hemoglobin that low makes you feel sooooo tired. I hope it comes up soon; that will help a lot.

Could just be me. I had a high hemoglobin for the first time in my life and I was negative for all the viruses, so they got excited because my blood could go to premature babies, AIDS patients, cancer patients. I was happy to help but couldn't do anything except sleep for a week after every donation like that. And my hemoglobin went down to 10, so it took a long time to recover.

Wow. That’s insane. My daughter who has been dealing with heavy periods has a hemoglobin of 10.

Oh really?! It’s supposed to be less difficult. Maybe I won’t do that! Yikes. Although.. I do like to sleep!

Whoa! I did a double red cell donation once and I slept for a week! It sucked!! It was before I knew about my endo and was taking pre-requisites for my lab program. I hope you respond better than I do!
