My dr told my nurse that I had allot of fibriods during my vaginal ultra sound, what does that mean? should i be worried, he didn't discuss it with me
Fibroids are benign growths within the uterus which often accompany endometriosis. They’re very painful. An anti-inflammatory diet can help.
I understand your frustration when doctors don't explain something. On my first ultrasound I found out I had one on my right ovary and they acted like it was no big deal, but that was my first time ever hearing of me having one. It can be really scary when we don't know what the doctor is referring to. I am not sure if your doctor has a messaging service through the doctor office like an online client portal, but if you do I would send them a message asking for them to give you information on what is going on.
@ashelyswindell thanks, is the pain from endometriosis different from your fibroids? I have lots of pain but I always just thought it was all the endometriosis
I have fibroids and they are no fun. They cause lots of pain during my period, I'll be having one removed tomorrow. They majorly suck because they cause pain but don't panic, they can be dealt with. Don't be afraid to call your Dr and ask for clarification. ❤️
Dr should discus with you not your nurse, he should explain in detail because is not your nurse who have to deal with it. Fibroids are bad
