How Long Does It Take For Endometriosis To Come Back After Laparoscopy?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had a laparoscopy in September and my right ovary especially does not feel right. I told my dr and he will go in again in a few months if the pain does not stop. I call my right ovary my little fin because it is smaller then the left. But the right ovary gets bigger cysts and has more problems. Can anyone help me here? It really sucks dealing with this pain every day.

To be honest laparoscopy doesnt cure endometriosis nor ease the pain, I decided on endo to help ease the pain. I noticed that coffee, peanut butter, dairy products, red meat, chocolate triggers pain.Pain killers also help though

I have endo and lap in 2015 to remove a cyst from right ovary. Unfortunately it grew back. I'm using birth control pills to manage pain and stabilize growth. I'm taking the active pill everyday which stops my periods. No period means that the cyst is less likely to grow- less to no menstrual blood to grow/feed the cyst. I would ask your doc for an vag ultrasound or an abdomen mri before lap. Less invasive.

My surgeon said that some women have endo tissue grow back around 5 years after excision surgery, some don't have it come back at all. I remember reading around 40% experience symptoms Some methods of birth control slow any regrowth, anything that stops your period helps.
I don't know about ablation except that it's no longer considered very helpful and should be avoided.

My pain was only reduced for a few months after my excision surgery. Since it didn’t work for me I saw a naturopath instead and that workd for me to get rid of my pain.
