The term 'Cure' needs to be removed from the information and the acknowledgement added that identifies that endometrial tissue creates it's own estrogen to multiply so the smallest amount present can reoccur causing internal bleeding, lesions and adhesions,, misinformation leads to sufferers painful and long term issues.
Yeah it’s a sad state. I got so disillusioned with it all that I stopped interacting with regular doctors about my endo/adeno/PCOS issues and only deal with my naturopath. I feel like she actually listens to me and keeps up with the latest research and has a very open mind about how to treat me and her treatments actually work for me.
I don't know if it's a matter of ethics as much as it is just a complete lack of education. Even my "specialist" gyn was under the impression that a hysterectomy and hellish hormone therapy are the answer. I was angry with her for a while, but I think that they're just not getting the picture or the whole story. It's just a crappy systems that leads to doctors without accurate information.
It seems crazy that doctors tell women it’s a cure. Isn’t that unethical?
