How Do You Cope Mentally With Endometriosis?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’ve had endometriosis for 8 years. It’s nothing new to me. But I’ve been really struggling mentally with it all lately. I feel completely hopeless. Doctors are telling me there isn’t much more they can do for me anymore. My symptoms are bad all the time and I feel like I’m not living anymore.
I want to know what I can do to get through this. I’m struggling to stay positive

I'm so sorry. I'm a big believer in both holistic approach but also excision surgery. I've had 2 excision surgeries and my pain is about 97% gone. I still need to do all the other stuff; sleep well, eat healthfully, take my vitamins, etc. But the start of true healing for me was my first excision surgery. I've got a bunch of links about it if you want them. Just let me know. But Nancy's Nook on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/groups/NancysNookEndoEd/) is a good resource. Lots of articles and a list of excision surgeons.

Whenever I feel down, I watch cartoons. They lift me up, but I my boyfriend is really supportive.

I work fulltime, walk my dog everyday, and generally eat three healthy meals a day with one snack. I’ve been doing these sorts of things since my diagnosis. It does help but i dont find it makes a world of difference.

This may sound a little crazy... but what is your routine every day? Do you workout? What type of workouts do you do? What foods do you eat? How often do you eat? What are you drinking throughout the day? How much sleep are you getting? Etc. I know what you going through, I’ve been there done that... but answering these questions may help... have you tried holistic approaches before?
