A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question šŸ’

Currently 30+ wks pregnant and in agonizing pain with this pregnancy. Feels exactly like my endo flareups but far more intense and chronic. My OB refuses to accept that my pregnancy may have worsened my Endo and thinks my pain is all in my head. I am limited on what I can take/do for my pain since I am pregnant. The pain during one of my pregnancies was horrendous as in to the extent that my gynaecologist was like I am the more important person šŸ˜® of the 2 of us and he has to put mother first. So had to be on some annoying dangerous stuff. Said all that to assure you that the pain is not in your head. Some actually many doctors think pregnancy is actually a temporary fix to endo so to them you cannot have any endo issues during pregnancy. Sorry donā€™t have an answer. Luckily youā€™re almost at the promised land where youā€™ll welcome your baby. @A MyEndometriosisTeam Member can you help ?

I'm sorry to hear that and your OB is wrong; pregnancy can totally worsen endo. Nancy's Nook on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/groups/NancysNookEndoEd/) is a good resource. Lots of articles and a list of excision surgeons. I see you're in Jacksonville; how difficult would it be to get to Atlanta? I consulted the Center for Endo Care there and they were amazing. I couldn't afford them compared to the in network excision surgeon I found, but the phone consult was so helpful

You're most welcome. Good luck, hope you find someone good really soon and feel better. Keep us posted, if you're OK with that.

I wish I knew a gynecologist in Florida. I would suggest searching for users in Jacksonville or nearby and asking if they like their OB. You can either use the search bar or the ā€œMeet Othersā€ link in the upper right hand corner menu.

The thought about CEC was just for the Endo consult. Obviously, healthy pregnancy is important and I donā€™t think CEC does prenatal care. But maybe they know some Endo knowledgeable OBs? Or one of the excision surgeons in Florida might.

For some resources on Endo, Iā€™ll share a link I keep that others have found useful.
