I had my 1st laparoscopy and Mirena coil insertion 3 weeks ago, but bleeding (not spotting) has continued and I'm wondering when it stops?? Im also taking microgynon for the past two months. Also the morning pain flare ups are quite the nuisance. not sure if all this is normal or part of the normal recovery?
I'm sorry you're going through this - I completely relate! I had the surgery and UID insertion about a month ago and haven't stopped bleeding since. Sometimes lighter and sometimes heavy clots… read more
I am having surgery to remove the scar tissue and while I am asleep, they want to put an IUD in as well. I am super nervous about the IUD and want to know if there are side effects, and if the IUD is a good route to go.
I agree. The period phase was hard enough. I am finding menopause and endo is exhausting
Has anyone else had cysts since having the merina? I haven’t had any before but since having the merina have had to have one removed that was grapefruit sized- I’ve read on another page about the 2 being linked.....thoughts?
I was recently taken off the depo shot 6 months ago and put on a birth control that you take blue pills 3 months straight and the sugar pills for one week at the end of the cycle. Not sure if I should go back to the doctor and discuss different treatment or not because last time I went, my doctor told me surgery would be the other option. I am trying not to go that route, but the pain gets almost unbearable.
I too have been having this. Pelvic pain is worse at night when I’ve been laying down for hours as well as aches in my arms and legs! Wakes me up from sleep and keeps me up for a few hours. It’s the… read more
Looking for input/experience with Mirena as treatment for endo. I had it put in during my laporoscopy in December, and it took almost 6 months for the side effects to settle (mood swings, extreme cramping, back pain, spotting, etc). At one point I had a 3mm cyst on my left ovary that caused a lot of pain and swelling and took 6 weeks to burst. Now my pain/swelling has been up and down and I'm debating getting it removed. I am also taking Yaz on top of the Mirena to see if doubling up will help… read more
I’ve had mine for 2 years and I am now suffering all over again. First 6 months was horrid, then seemed to settle. Now I’m getting significant pain all over again and break through bleeding. Plus I’ve… read more
I wondered what everyone else thinks of the merina iud? I had it and then had it removed. And am curious of others opinions
Hi, I had it removed after 1 week, or so. My abdomen and my legs were sore from it. Mixed up my cycle, I was on Cilest pills before, went back to it with no breaks. I also read very bad USA reviews… read more
My doctor at school suggested that one but my doctor back home said it's only good for people who've have children. Anyone have experience with the mirena?
I have one, it took a while to settle in, maybe up to two years to be honest, but no complaints, i do still have some flares, but started getting regular peroids again 4 years into it (i know that… read more
Has anyone tried Mirena and not felt any relief? It's been a few months and I feel very little, if any, relief and my loss of appetite and nausea is spiraling out on top of the pain! I recently had a baby (in January) so not sure if it's all dramatically worse from that or if the Mirena is really just not working for me?
I couldn't work with the marina they put it in during my lap last year I still have it but apparently in the pill as well as I was having irregular bleeds and the pain was so bad some people love it… read more
Heres an odd question. Does visanne or endo make your boobs bigger? Ive been the same cup size since I was 14 but lately Ive seen a signifigant change. Theyre also very sore often. I havnt gained weight anywhere else so its a bit odd to me. Not a big deal just curious!
I have the same problem😏
