Has anyone been put on Oralissa? My doctor just put me on it along with some other pain management treatments. Basically at my last option before we decide to do surgery again, or even possible hystrectomy. Just wondering if anyone has taken Oralissa and if its been effective and what side affects you have had?
I took Orilissa for 3 years. I kept telling my doctor that I was miserable on it and she shrugged it off. It made me horribly depressed and anxious, I had crazy mood swings, and it didnt touch the cramps. In my experience it only made everything worse. I finally stopped taking it and my emotional stability greatly improved and the cramps stayed the same. :(
I’m currently taking Orilissa. I have a lot of side effects! The hot flashes are no joke, but you kind of get used to them in some way. I get mostly irritated, and I’m nauseous a lot from it. I will also say it does make your heart race occasionally. I also think it caused water retention, because I’ve also had that. I’m only 3 weeks on but it hasn’t really reduced the pain, but I’ve heard it’s helped others. I go back in for a follow up in a week, but I’m probably going to have to try something else. However, I know other people have tried it and sworn by it, but it hasn’t helped me. Hopefully it works for you, but I would be prepared for the hot flashes, insomnia, and possibly mood swings.
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member, that's so heart breaking. I never took it; the side effects scared me. I have a lot of heart disease and osteoporosis in my family, so I didn't want to add fuel to the fire.
I'm also a huge fan of excision surgery and I’ll leave a resource list here of stuff about endo I've found helpful over the years. Other users have said it helped too. Let me know if I can do anything.

I used it. It helped my pain but made me kinda crazy. Not worth it. I had excision surgery instead and it's helping me a TON! Just because I feel women deserve all the info, a woman in trial for orilissa committed suicide. She had no known mental health issues going into it and she was only on the low dose for one month.
I did not like it . I was nauseated EVERY MORNING. HOT FLASHES were the worst . Mentally I lost it . So I jumped right off it . I hope it works for you .
