Debating on getting surgery, but my wedding is in 8 months. What was your experience with weight after surgery?

4 months ago I had total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo oophorectomy, and while I didn't loose weight or gain any weight, my stomach size did shrink considerably. If you're considering any surgery though, make sure you have enough time before wedding to heal, the full 6-8 weeks after surgery, you wouldn't want to walk down the isle having additional pain or weakness from surgery recovery.

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member its totally normal to be swollen up for several days right after surgery! They pump you up with gas, not to mention all of the inflammation from the surgery and everything. Even my legs were swollen up. Moving around the room helps get the blood circulating again, and GasX can help too. Your body will readjust soon
