Mirena didn't make me put on weight, but it did make my bleeding much worse. I almost had to get a blood transfusion.

Hi i had mirena it actually made me very sick. I've also tried other forms of birth control they made me sick too. I can't do hormones especially now knowing in have 2 genetic clotting disorders. going on hormones is a big decision. Personally i wouldn't go on it again if someone paid me. It made my endo/adeno much worse. I bled for the entire month i had it in. It made nauseated and very sick to point i went to hospital. It wasn't worth it by along shot. Not saying it wouldn't be right for you, more so saying do your pros outweigh negative effects? Good luck with your decision.
