A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’m going on vacation finally but nervous because this is the first time I’ll be traveling with endo. Any tips?

Bring:
extra pads
pain relivers
Comfortable lose clothes that can double as casual and dress wear
Extra underwear
Flexible pillow
HEATING PAD
hair ties
Antacids
Toiletries incase i get ill whole out you can freshen up in bathroom
A blanket that's comforting
Bio-freeze
Gatorade or electrolyte beverage
Pack Monistat cream incase yeast infection because when those come on during an endo flare it amplifies flare
Also if you get hemorrhoids prep-H
And suppositories dulcolax works well even if you don't have a flare rather be prepared than not. Especially during pandemic stores close at certain times and if you have to wait a few hours to all night pain can be unbearable at times. Good luck try to enjoy your vacation! ☺️

I’ve noticed that in extreme temperatures i tend to feel more cramping, if this is your case try to keep cool or warm, not TOO hot or TOO cold.

I would recommend those heat patches that you stick to your underwear. They don’t get too hot, but provide enough heat to help with my cramps. This sounds weird, but I keep two sizes of underwear on hand — my normal size and one size bigger for days when I am really bloated. Enjoy your trip!
