Does Anyone Have Experience With Nerve Issues In The Groin/lady Parts Area Post Hysterectomy?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I think I have a messed up nerve on the left lower abdomen running to the genital area. I have a single spot that randomly itches, stings, or feels numb.. but lately those feelings are shooting up toward my csection scar, which also happens to be the area where I had endo on a nerve that was excised during hysterectomy in 2017. I'm wondering if there is nerve damage or new endo maybe?? Anyone experience anything similar?

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member, The hysterectomy doesn't always remove all the endo, and doesn't always prevent new lesions from forming. So it is possible that I have new lesions developing.

I noticed that Dr. Arrington notes something about nerve impingement, and you are both in Georgia. It might be worth exploring.

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member, I'm sorry to hear that for your sister! My doctor hasn't really explored the possibility of nerve issues, so I am preparing to go to a new specialist. It definitely feels nerve related, so maybe something like that would help. I'll definitely keep that in mind as I prepare to talk to the new drs. Thanks!

My sister has a similar situation going on... nerve pain post-hysterectomy, but hers is her entire right side. She is taking gabapentin do deal with some of the pain.

I hope you find some relief soon!
