Last time the gas build up was awful and trying to get up and down was too. But if you have anything or item that helped you let me know so i can add to my list to get!

One thing I wish I had someone had told me prior to surgery was to take Miralax (it’s so safe you can even use during pregnancy) for two weeks prior to surgery. The pain medication will probably make a bowel movement harder than usual and you have to think they’re cutting into the abdominal muscles ( etc, etc) so that will help you, when you finally need to go, miralax will make it a little easier and also holding a pillow gently to your abdomen while trying to “go” (my mom’s advice) helped me too

Gasx and a flexible heating pad. Take the gasx as directed. Gentle movements while using the gasx should help your bod relieve the gas. You can get it at any drugstore.
Use the heating pad where you feel the gas buildup. Hope it helps and you have a successful surgery.
